He will Cut so YOU can Shine!
A few days ago as I was in prayer, the Holy Spirit brought TWO images to my mind. The first was a knife and the other a flashlight. As I prayed on it I felt God say:
"I will cut so they can shine"
The knife representing Gods pruning of our lives reminded me of the great passage in Hebrews.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, (Hebrews 12:1 NIV)
The flashlight representing What we as believers are called to do and what we must do if we are going to reach the world.
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:16 NIV)
Ive found in the Bible and in my personal life that God has to cut out the things of this world so that he can 'SHINE" through us!
God often has to reduce us before he can increase us.
Few of us like the cutting out part but without the cutting the shining cannot happen.Let's ask ourselves TWO crucial questions:What does God want to cut out of my life? & am I willing to let him?
