Church: Are you getting fed?

Intentionally or unintentionally people often approach their church as a consumer.

And while your church should be preaching the whole truth of God’s Word and you do want to make sure it’s solid theological teaching; most of the time when someone says “they aren’t being fed” it’s because they aren’t eating.

And maybe only getting the word in them on Sunday in the message. But everything changes when you learn to feed yourself which is what a normal maturing believer should do.

You also then begin to see that you should come to church not just to eat but also to feed others.

When is the last time you went to church hoping to be able to give an encouraging word to someone rather than just being about hoping someone encourages you?

Or when is the last time you came to church excited to bring GOD an offering of worship and your tithe rather than just needing a touch from God?

“In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭5:12-14‬ ‭NIV‬‬
