What's your "GoTo" under pressure?

We all go through moments or seasons of pressure, stress or difficulty. But those seasons don't have to be something that takes you and I out of the game. It's often sad to me to see how easily people fold under the pressure of life and difficult circumstances.Having said that, I'm not surprised that people have a difficult time because their "GoTo" under pressure is miss-aligned. I was reminded of this the other day when reading James, take a look.

Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. (‭James‬ ‭5‬:‭13-14‬ NIV)

In these couple of verse James is helping us understand what the direction of our attention should be when we are hitting difficult waters in our lives. Are you in trouble? PRAY! Is life going well? WORSHIP! Are you sick? PRAY and be anointed with oil. Even earlier in the book of James he says, do you need wisdom? ASK GOD!The secret to stability in difficult times is found in these verses. James is calling us to a greater focus and attention on Jesus during the bad and even the good times. That choice to keep our attention focused on our stable God rather than unstable circumstances, brings huge stability during difficult times. Make God your "GoTo". When you need wisdom, get sick or get bad news of any kind, practice going straight to God before anything or anyone else. Why don't you go to God right now for whatever it is you need in your life, and get to a great faith filled Church that can pray with you for what you are believing for!I'd love to pray with you as well, go ahead and leave a prayer request in the comment section.
